Meaning of Peace in the Oracle of the Triad

It is a positive card for the querent in the announcements it reveals, but it can sometimes be troubled by certain cards with which it may be associated during the reading. Fortunately, these are not numerous. The predictions revealed by the Peace card are therefore generally very favourable, since they rest on feelings linked to serenity and harmony. It stresses that the querent’s life is pleasant, and above all well balanced, and that he or she must keep ensuring that this stable and peaceful period can last as long as possible.

The Peace card is quite plain overall, since it depicts only a wide blue sky, meant to represent Divine Peace, as well as an ancient scroll, embodying the thirst for knowledge. Looking a little more closely at this papyrus, one notices the word Jerusalem engraved on it, whose true definition is: “vision of peace”. At the top of the document is a Christian cross, while at the bottom is engraved the Delta sign, meant to represent the Divine in all its embodiment. Beyond its religious and Masonic influences, the Peace card is linked to the astrological signs of Taurus and Gemini, as well as to the number 23, which in numerology symbolises the organised principle of all things (3) within the interstellar cosmos (20).

During a divinatory reading, the Peace card therefore announces a certain tranquillity of life for the querent, at least for the period to come. Events will unfold gently, and this in every area of his or her life. Unless the Peace card crosses other quite specific cards such as Nadir, Lie, Temptation and Adversary, which influence it towards a more dark and negative side.
