Meaning of Silence in the Oracle of the Triad

Once again it is a true neutral card that presents itself to us under the name of Silence. Thus, the predictions it will bring to the querent may be just as positive as negative; everything will depend on the nature of the other cards surrounding it. Like any neutral card, it is therefore easily influenced, which does not mean it has no importance within this Oracle. The Silence card may speak of a lack of communication, but also of muteness in the face of a situation where secrets are well kept. It also evokes the silence one sometimes keeps in order to  listen better to what others have to tell us. Contrary to appearances, it is a card that has a great deal to say.

Strangely, the Silence card is above all sonorous, and especially musical in its depiction. It is indeed filled with many symbols linked to music and music theory. Thus, in its centre we find a stave such as those printed on every score. On this stave rests a quaver rest, which embodies a measure of silence in musical language. At the top of the card, a closed mouth is highlighted. While a mouth generally expresses speech, in this case it urges us not to speak in order to listen better. Down the entire  left side, marine algae sway gracefully, evoking the world of silence found only beneath the sea. Finally, even though it is not visible, this card is linked to the astrological sign of Leo, as well as to the number 52, which in numerology expresses the listening that allows us all to gain a certain perspective.

During a divinatory reading, the Silence card is far from tongue-tied. It indeed deals with many subjects linked to the life of the querent, and reveals to them a good number of predictions to come about their destiny, all of which relate to the act of talking too much, to the point of disclosing confidential information, or, on the contrary, of saying nothing out of respect and ethics for someone or a worthy cause. It is the other cards surrounding it that will specify whether these revelations will be favourable to them or not.
