Meaning of Water in the Oracle of the Triad

The only card devoted exclusively to femininity, and therefore inevitably to fertility, it generally tells the person concerned by the reading that everything is unfolding for the best in their life. One of the most soothing cards, it also signifies that everything is perfectly calm, and that there is therefore no need to worry about what comes next. While reassuring them, it makes them understand that the problems they may have faced so far will clearly improve. But the Water card also encourages them to open up more to those around them, especially on an emotional level.

The Oracle of the Triad may seem somewhat complex to some. Indeed, even though it is based above all on Greek mythology, it uses a number of symbols borrowed from numerology, astrology and the secret codes specific to Freemasonry. This makes it an even more esoteric divinatory tarot than the most traditional ones, yet one that offers fine prospects for predicting the future to anyone who knows how to read its cards well. In the case of the Water card, its depiction is rather metaphysical. Thus, the white background with rounded blue corners seems to embody the mother’s womb, while the blue triangle is the sky or the father, pointing towards the 3 wavy lines that are the earth or indeed the mother. In the middle is a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, representing water, or more precisely the fluid contained within the female womb.

During a divinatory reading, the Water card appears to the querent above all to reassure them about their situation. It therefore encourages them to soothe their conscience in all circumstances. Combined with the Choice card, it will also speak of a desire for independence. Whereas placed next to that of Birth, it announces an upcoming childbirth.
