Interpretation of the Pentacles – Minor Arcana

The Pentacles are therefore one of the 4 suits found among the minor arcana. Like the 3 other suits, they comprise 14 cards or blades. There are 10 numeral cards running from the Ace to number 10, as well as 4 court cards which are the Page, the Knight, the Queen and the King. These are also called court or honour cards.

The Pentacles are influenced by the natural element that is the Earth, by the season of winter and by the zodiac signs that are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. They are close to the diamonds found in ordinary card decks.

In the Tarot of Marseille, as well as the Rider-Waite, the suit of Pentacles, also called “pentacles “, relates to everything that is material in an individual’s life journey. Everything they may have owned and everything they will have brought about: real estate, invested money, investments and other financial transactions.
