In love, as in friendship for that matter, it happens that we find ourselves faced with an insurmountable wall that separates us spiritually from our partner. A phase where our mutual understanding is no longer in tune and where our points of view diverge and give way to angry reactions that can lead towards aggressiveness. This uncomfortable situation, where each person’s egos make their comeback to measure themselves against the other, can politely be called an “argument” or more crudely a “row” and is very often represented by a sky laden with big black clouds. And when there is a storm in the air within a couple, the situation can quickly degenerate.

Thus, between reproaches, insults and violence against the furniture and sometimes even the loved one, the 2 lovers unload what they have on their hearts, even if it means hurting them morally or physically. It is at that precise moment that they can cause each other a great deal of sorrow. The acts and the words used being very hard to accept, to hear and therefore to digest. This is what we call heartache, which brings moral suffering to one of the partners, when it is not to each of them. This sorrow can bring about further arguments, or even a separation, but it can just as easily pass as quickly as it appeared.

Indeed, in this present case we are very far from the hatred that can appear within the couple, and which, for its part, is irremediable. Sorrow, on the other hand, is an almost natural feeling if we are in love with a person, because life is unfortunately not rosy every day. This card depicts this situation for us by showing us a nutcracker, where in place of the nut there is a heart ready to give way under the pressure. But the latter resists because the situation can still end on a positive note, embodied by the purple colour of the card’s background. This card is also linked to the number 25, which gives the figure 7 once reduced, which symbolises analysis and reflection in numerology.
