This is another neutral card, which will therefore be influenced by the other cards surrounding it to speak favourably or not to the querent. It remains cautious nonetheless, for it announces little to the latter, except that they must take their time before making a certain choice. The Prayer card thus encourages reflection. It leads towards meditation, and so urges belief in spiritual faith, which alone will allow them to move mountains and to attain peace of the soul in the fulfilment of their life.

This highly spiritual and mystical card, filled with values of religious themes, depicts only a candlestick in close-up against a purple background. This antique candlestick has 3 branches and therefore symbolises the Holy Trinity, namely the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. At the tip of these 3 branches stand white candles that evoke the Holy Virgin, but also rebirth, that principle of reincarnation which allows the soul of every departed one to take a new flight, in order to take its place around the Divine. Linked to the number 19, which embodies luminous radiance, this card is also associated with the astrological signs of Libra and Scorpio.

During a divinatory reading, the Prayer card announces that the coming events, whether positive or negative, will sow no burst of joy, violence or anger in their wake, and the querent will accept them with wisdom, patience or resignation. All the other cards of this Oracle can influence this one, but some will be more negative than others: these are the cards named Isolation, Penance, Misfortune, Doubt and Desert.
