Meaning of the King of Shields in the Persian Tarot

For the querent, it is a card just as favourable as the King of Hearts, for it always announces to them financial support to come from a man. This man may be someone close, such as a friend or a family member, but he may also be a banker or a trusted financial advisor with whom they will have to carry out transactions. If this man accustomed to business seems to want to be generous towards a female querent in the days or weeks to come, it could also be that he enters her life from a more sentimental point of view, especially if the latter had dark-coloured hair.

Since the Persian Tarot is essentially centred on oriental traditional values, the King of Shields card depicts a sultan with a deep gaze, comfortably seated cross-legged on colourful cushions. Around him, Clovers and gold coins symbolise luck and fortune, while the fuchsia pink colour of the card’s background  expresses the feeling of osmosis, as much as the fact of existing in the present moment.

During a divinatory reading, the King of Shields Card therefore represents a man. This may be the querent themselves, or else a person close to the latter.
