Free Belline Oracle Reading
We all know that the Marseille Tarot deck is undoubtedly the most famous in the world of tarot, from its creation right up to the present day. But whilst it fulfils its esoteric functions—so highly prized by psychics—to perfection, there is one tarot deck that surpasses it in terms of astrological significance: the Belline Tarot. Indeed, this tarot deck is almost akin to a horoscope, so heavily is it influenced by the planets of our solar system and the astrological signs of the zodiac. And its history, so incredible, would make for a fine film script on tarot.

The Story of the Oracle of Belline

Whilst the world of divination dates back to ancient times, the art of fortune-telling through the interpretation of cards originated in Europe during the Middle Ages. In those distant times, when the plague and the Wars of Religion were raging, it was the Bohemian women from nomadic Gypsy families who brought it back from their travels across the Arabian Peninsula.

Thanks to their supposed gift of clairvoyance, these fortune-tellers—who until then had predicted the future by reading palm lines—had discerned a wealth of esoteric meanings and symbolism in playing cards. They therefore began using them as a new tool to predict the future for those seeking guidance. And they very quickly became hugely successful, as people from all walks of life in France wanted to have their cards read to find out what the future held for them. Without really realising it, they had just created what we now call cartomancy.
A century later, around 1550, they were still just as popular when the very first tarot deck arrived from Italy. This deck of cards shook up the conventions of cartomancy somewhat, as its cards delved even deeper into the esoteric, featuring characters and subjective, ambiguous figures relating to human nature.

Many fortune-tellers took an interest in it, and even figures such as Leonardo da Vinci paid close attention to it. Around 1750, when card reading was at its height, the Tarot de Marseille appeared, which was to become the most famous tarot deck in the world.
Based on the deck imported from Italy, it consisted of 78 cards, and its distinctive feature was that it was divided into 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. And each of these cards played a part in a divination reading.

In the early 19th century, Mlle Lenormand was one of the most renowned fortune-tellers in Paris and the French provinces. She naturally practised her gifts using the Marseille Tarot, but she was increasingly considering developing a new tarot deck that would be even more influenced by astrology and astronomy.

She then devised the design and produced numerous sketches, but it was her pupil Jules Charles-Ernest Billaudot, known as Edmond the Magician, who would be responsible for finalising it for future commercial release.
It must be said that the magician Edmond was also highly renowned in Paris as a clairvoyant, and that his clients included such famous figures as Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo and Napoleon III.
Unfortunately, this new tarot deck, on which he had worked for many months, never saw the light of day – at least not at that time. Upon Mlle Lenormand’s death, it ended up at the bottom of a trunk in the attic of her studio.

It lay there for almost a century, until, quite by chance, a somewhat failed clairvoyant named Marcel Forget, known as Belline, discovered it. Intrigued, Belline set about studying it, updating it and putting the finishing touches to it, making it more personal.
Then, driven by some unknown force, he had it printed and marketed under the name ‘Belline’s Oracle’ in the form we still recognise today: enclosed in a black and gold box.
This would prove to be the turning point of his new life, as he suddenly went from being a nobody to a household name, thanks to the unexpected success of this new tarot game.
How to learn the Belline Oracle
The Belline Oracle is a little more complicated to learn than the Marseille Tarot. That is why it is advisable to start with the latter before moving on to the Oracles. Once you have done so, you will need to study each of the 53 cards in the Oracle in depth.

They all have their own specific meaning and are grouped into families linked to the planets of our solar system, as well as to the 12 astrological signs of the zodiac.

Their depictions speak to us of a bygone era, one that is a far cry from what we experience today with new technologies; this is why they will not be so straightforward to analyse. It will therefore be necessary to consult a comprehensive book on the subject, or to take an online course via a dedicated website.
In any case, learning to interpret the Belline Oracle will involve studying problematic – and therefore inevitably psychological – situations relating to work, relationships or health issues. It is also advisable, whilst learning, to avoid asking the cards overly broad questions, but rather to break these questions down into several sub-questions to facilitate a better interpretation.
Learning the Belline Oracle means working with a client to help them understand the personal development of their life and to predict future events in their destiny. This is done through divination spreads.
Some examples of other divinatory oracles in tarot
Belline’s Love Oracle
This is a fairly simple tarot spread, often laid out in a cross pattern using four or five cards. As the name suggests, this divination spread focuses on romantic feelings and the sometimes complicated relationships that can arise within a couple.

The consultant’s questions should therefore focus on the personal feelings that are causing them to doubt their everyday love life. The Belline Oracle cards will be perfect for meeting their needs and helping them break the deadlock that could be damaging their relationship.
The Oracle of Gé
This oracle, inspired by Belline’s, is ideal for sharing your current feelings with a consultant, even if they lie buried in your subconscious. The cards drawn during the Oracle of Gé will reveal the goals you wish to achieve in your unspoken desires and the best way to reach them.

This is a very intuitive spread, which uses the cards representing each of the four seasons and eight key figures from the deck.
The Oracle of the Triad
Derived from the Belline Oracle, the Triad deck consists of 57 cards. It draws heavily on numerology, geometry and astrology.

Each card features a striking illustration, as well as a highly evocative name, which helps the tarot reader to better grasp their symbolism during interpretations. Whilst it is equally effective for predicting the future, the Oracle of the Triad is often said to be perfect for those wishing to get started.
Divinatory oracles
There are many of them, and the list could seem endless. What you need to know about divinatory oracles is that they take an even more nuanced psychological approach than the various tarot decks.
Whilst their aim is indeed the same—namely, to predict future events in a client’s life—their approach will focus more on the client’s personality and their many unique characteristics.

It is said that the answers given by divinatory oracles are enlightening and almost divine.
The cards of the Belline Oracle
The Belline Oracle divination card deck consists of 53 cards. It is heavily influenced by the Marseille Tarot deck, but its distinctive feature is its connection to astrology, and in particular to the planets in our solar system.
Each of these cards has a strong esoteric connotation, and during a divination reading, they all reveal insights into the querent’s personality and future events in their destiny.
If interpreting these cards is somewhat more complex than interpreting those of the Marseille Tarot, it is because they explore the psychology of the person in question in even greater depth.
These 53 cards consist of the four so-called major arcana in a deck.

This is the so-called Blue Card, which holds the greatest symbolic significance in that it amplifies positive revelations when it appears.
Next comes the Destiny card, which, in the form of a key, represents the solution to all problems.

Then there is the Star of Man, which embodies the masculine aspect, and the Star of Woman, representing everything associated with the feminine.
Then there are the remaining 49 cards, divided into 7 suits of 7 cards each, all of which are named after a planet.
