It is well known that love stories generally end badly. And so, after the love at first sight that brings 2 people to live a beautiful love story together over a more or less long term, it often happens that a crack appears between the 2 lovers. And in most cases, that crack only widens with time. It is generally caused by the heaviness of daily life and by the lack of spirit and of surprise that reign within the couple at the beginning of the relationship. Then, one of the two partners takes the first step towards separation, either because they are suffocating and can no longer live alongside the other, or because they have met someone else with whom to rebuild their life more quickly.

In every case, it is a liberation that this person grants themselves by breaking free in this way. By releasing themselves from a life that no longer suits them, they will certainly do a great deal of harm to the other, but they will recover their freedom of action and of thought, and be able once again to do things as they wish. At the end of the chain, sealed to this ankle shackle, lies a ball and chain, which symbolises the weight we drag behind us when we are no longer free. But this ankle shackle is open, left abandoned on the most arid of grounds by its owner, who freed themselves from it to go sailing towards new horizons. This card is linked to the number 14, which gives us the figure 5 in numerology, symbolising changes of course, the choices open to us and our freedom of thought.
