Besides, it is in the card of the Devil that the Ego is most present within the Tarot of Marseille… The Ego card of the Angel Tarot depicts our dreamer, just as we know him, but here his face is masked and he moves forward blindly inside a bubble, as if he were cut off from the world around him.
Around this bubble, besides a forest landscape, a young guardian angel girl stands behind him, and you truly get the feeling that she is watching closely over him, over whatever he might say or do. It is with her wings gently folded around the bubble that she protects the dreamer himself. Because of the halo she wears above her long brown hair, she is associated with the archangel Jophiel, who symbolizes the beauty of life in the most difficult moments. In a divinatory reading, this card will be frequently negative, as it points to several flaws a person may display toward others.
