The Lovers Card depicts a couple embracing in a moment of tenderness, blessed by a woman with the appearance of a Goddess, placed above the souls of the two lovers. With her wings raised toward the cosmos and the halo floating around her thick hair, we can guess that this feminine beauty is a guardian angel who, as it happens, turns out to be close to the archangel Raphael.
Around this heavenly vision resembling the Garden of Eden, from which only feelings of purity emanate, we can see on the left side of the card a fruit tree whose trunk is being assailed by a serpent. The Lovers card is therefore the one that speaks of our intimate feelings toward another person during a divinatory reading, but it is also the one that can warn us of the imminence of a danger to come within our relationship.
