Meaning of Awareness in the Osho Zen Tarot

Card no. 7

This is one of the most interesting cards of the Osho divinatory tarot, because it urges each of us to perceive the reality of all things, setting the past aside so as to better envision the future. For the Fool, it is a powerful encounter on his spiritual journey. It reveals to him that he will no longer have to wander blindly in the dark and that, from now on, the light of the divine flame will lift the veil he had worn until then over his eyes.

The Awareness card depicts a human shadow that seems to be in a difficult position, judging by the clenching of its left hand and the position of its right hand, which it holds to its forehead. In front of the latter, superimposed, is a blue flame, sparkling with a thousand lights, from which appears the serene face of the child Buddha, who seems to be illuminated by grace. Shining like a crystal, this flame seems to settle upon the troubled mind of the shadow.

In a divinatory reading, the Awareness card stresses the fact that our mind and emotions can often end up stifling our lives. It then announces the Awakening of the self, the one that will finally make us act with awareness and, therefore, with clarity and understanding.

The card therefore tells you that you are going to become aware of facts attributed to your life. In love, either you will finally realise that the person who shares your living space really is the right one and that you can stop asking yourself questions without valid reasons, or you will realise that your relationship is as dull as it is harmful to your ambitions in matters of love. But either way, this realisation will be a true liberation.

The Awareness card always announces a new beginning, so it will necessarily be beneficial to you if you have been, for some time now, searching for a soulmate with whom to share a stretch of life’s path together.

This card is a sign that you must now act, because you have finally understood who you really were and what you are entitled to expect for the rest of your romantic adventures.

Becoming aware means finally understanding what is happening to us and why it is happening to us. By understanding the signs of destiny, we open our eyes and stop burying our heads in the sand. Becoming aware is a little like stepping outside oneself in order to observe oneself from the outside. It is an evolution that leads to ultimate knowledge.
