This is a card that points to a radical change to come, the one that prepares for the great upheaval of a life. During his spiritual journey, the character of the Fool is ready for this announced shift, since he came out with honours from his encounter with New Vision, which prepared him for it, however slightly. This card is often compared to that of Death in the Tarot de Marseille and, contrary to popular belief, it could only be harmful to the querent if it were combined with one or more cards that are themselves negative in the spread.

The Transformation card shows a drawing with Buddhist influences, presenting a dark-coloured figure with several hands, like the Hindu deities. In them it holds a torch, a lotus flower, a snake, broken chains as well as the sign of the Yin & Yang, symbol of victory over duality. While its last free hand strokes a sleeping face at the bottom of the card, a bird takes flight above its skull, like the soul rising towards enlightenment.
