Meaning of Silence in the Osho Zen Tarot
Card No. 17
This is the card of regained peace, after the destruction caused by the Thunderbolt card a little earlier on the Fool‘s path. The latter is therefore delighted to meet Silence, which will nourish his spiritual journey a little further by assuring him that being alone with oneself remains the best way to be in tune with one’s own awareness. For inner rest and being able to listen to one’s own silence are the finest gateway to the silent and infinite repose of the universe. Silence therefore warns the Fool that it is high time for him to cherish his solitude. Without dwelling on it too much either, for that would disturb his meditation.
The Silence card depicts a woman’s face in close-up, who seems to embody the Goddess of the night. Her eyes are closed as if in deep meditation. Her long wavy hair spills out on either side of her face, which symbolises inner peace and understanding. At the top of the card, a starry full-moon night fills the sky, while the bottom of this arcanum shows us a misty lake where that same scene is reflected on the water as in a mirror.
In a divinatory reading, the Silence card assures you that everything that follows in your destiny will unfold in calm and serenity. It merely warns you that resorting to too much thinking could bring about somewhat unsettling situations.

❤️ The Silence card in Love ❤️
You are in a relationship
The Silence card, were it to come up during your reading, would have little more to add to your feelings about your love relationship. Everything does indeed seem to be going rather well with your partner, and there is no reason for this quiet happiness to stop there.
So be careful not to overdo it and not to go looking for trouble where there is none. Stories without rhyme or reason would only poison your relationship for very little. You must therefore learn to appreciate what you have without making a noise about it, so as to be sure it does not slip away.
You are single
Nothing stands in the way of your finding love again in the arms of someone new. You are, in the end, more than ready to meet your soulmate, unless you would rather go on tormenting yourself on your own, the Silence card warns you.
🍏 The Silence card in Health 🍏
Everything will now get better and your recent minor health worries are from now on far behind you. But be careful all the same not to brood on your own too much, for we all know it: the first illness is the one that escapes from our mind to come and invade our body.
🧘 Spiritual interpretation of the Silence card 🧘
Silence and Aloneness are cards that call on us to use great wisdom in order to find ourselves better within. They speak to us of the philosophical values of Buddhism and Hinduism, embodied by Siddharta, before he became the enlightened Buddha. Since noise is often associated with chaos and fury, he had preferred to flee from it without really knowing where silence would lead him.
