It is on the day after Easter that the ritual of Saint Georges takes place, an uncommon cult whose protagonist is the Green Georges, a lofty symbol of strength and wisdom, who drives away evil spirits and demonic energies.
This Green Georges is always embodied by a young boy, entirely covered in branches and leaves of every kind, who plays the part of a sort of exorcist, one with the power to keep evil away and the evil spells from the animals and the streams round about. Saint Georges is therefore a ritual in which good gets the better of evil.

The card therefore places us before a young man with long brown hair, whose costume is green like the leaves of a tree in the fine season. He rides a powerful white horse that seems to be leading him into battle. He is armed with a metal sword that must weigh as much as he does and with a broad shield of copper and gold. The latter protects him, while linking him directly to the brilliance and warmth of the sun.
Beneath the shod hooves of the horse, which we see rearing up, lies a ferocious dragon, jaws open as if to spit out its hatred. It seems to be succumbing to the blows of the sword, hammered down by the young man. The forces of evil and the demonic spirits are therefore soundly beaten, while good comes out strengthened from this fight. It is a fresh conquest for Green Georges.
