And just like them, their world is peopled with spirits, whether benevolent or rather malevolent, like a great many demons that keep alive distressing superstitions in the hearts and minds of the Gypsy people.
That is why they make great use of ritual practices, blending esotericism and astrology, and why they hold just as much faith in the Christian religion. To counter fatalism and evil spirits, they therefore forged their own myth, blending the forces of nature such as the 4 elements that are air, earth, water and fire with esoteric rites and the foundations of Christianity.
