Like the Tower card of the Tarot of Marseille, this one warns the person concerned by the reading that events are going to occur in their life and change it radically. The Thunder Stone card therefore does not go unnoticed, and while it is not as powerful as the Beng card, it still has fine effects on our destinies.
Among the Gypsies, it is therefore Vulcan, the son of Jupiter, who sends down to earth his many warnings in the form of metal lightning bolts that he forged himself in the heavens. Through this lightning he shares his moods with humans, which can go from kindness itself to a silent anger that is utterly devastating.
For example, for the Gypsies, the weather events that destroy nature would be due in part to Vulcan’s mood, on a day when he got out of bed on the wrong side.

At the top of the card, we can see the young Vulcan, busy forging many metal lightning bolts that he hurls one after another, from the heavens, down to planet Earth. He is young, strong and skilful and, as a master blacksmith and ironworker, he is the one who handles the spark that sets the powder alight.
These many metal bolts and sharpened arrows, which he throws with violence, create panic on earth. We thus see many horses running to escape the destruction of nature, in what appears to be an earthquake, judging by the crevasse in the ground, the uprooting of the trees and the falling of enormous stones.
But Vulcan is not fundamentally bad, he simply wants to warn us that there are no changes without some breakage at the same time, that there is no smoke without fire.
